For twenty years, the poet Daniel Leuwers has invited poets and visual artists to create small handwritten and painted artists’ books. This contemporary version of the illuminated book advocates the importance of the book as a poetic object, of mixing and sharing, of being out of the loop. The exhibition brings together nearly two hundred of the most outstanding books that bear witness to the richness of this original adventure
